(1) Deutsche Post World Net, parent company of DHL, announced the acquisition of Exel in December 2005, Exel revenue includes acquisition of Tibbett & Britten, a multi-national logistics service provider, in August 2004; (2) In November 2005, Deutsche Bahn, parent company of Schenker USA, acquired BAX Global from Brinks; (3) UPS completed purchase of Menlo Worldwide Forwarding in December 2004; (4)In June 2004, TNT Logistics' parent TPG acquired global freight forwarding company Wilson Logistics Group; (5) In September 2005, Kuwait-based PWC Logistics completed the acquisition of GeoLogistics; (6) Greatwide Logistics consists of nine subsidiary firms, formed in 2000 by Fenway Partners, a private equity firm with significant investment in the transportation/logistics sector; (7) On August 2005, Landstar realigned its operating subsidiaries and accordingly, changed the name of its Multimodal Segment to Global Logistics; (8) USF Logistics was acquired by Yellow Roadway Worldwide, parent company of Meridian IQ, as part of the US Freightways acquisition.
